I am very lucky to be able to say that all of my weddings have been published on the top wedding blogs out there. I have now started sharing my engagement shoots too, one of which has been published today!
I include an engagement shoot in every package I offer to ensure that we have time together with the camera before the big day. I think that this is really important, as it ensures the couple know how I work and I get to know what they want from their big day. It also gives them time to feel comfortable in front of the camera so there is no awkwardness on their wedding day. The images from the shoot are often used in their wedding preparations for wedding websites and save the date cards.

Anita & Tim's Wedding
I first met Anita & Tim back last Autumn while doing their engagement shoot in Barnes Common, where the couple got engaged. I knew straight away that the wedding would be a pleasure to shoot as the couple were relaxed in front of the camera and really lovely, making it easy to get the shots I wanted.
Anita and the bridal party had their hair done in Eastbourne which is where I joined them that morning and then they all went back to her Mum's house to get ready.

A teaser photo of Anita & Tim's wedding in Firle...
The photos will be officially published over the next 2 to 3 weeks, but in the mean time I wanted to share this picture of the grooms men. A great picture of a great wedding!

What does a wedding photographer do over the winter?!
So, it's here! Wedding season is back! I am really looking forward to the fantastic wedding's that I have ahead of me this season and will be sure to update this regularly to keep you informed with what I am up to!
Over the winter I have been busy with product photography for fellow wedding vendors. The yummiest has to be that of Bella's Cupcakes who kindly let me taste their wares after the shoot!
I have also been working closely with Inspired Weddings & Events who fell in love with my photography and asked to use some of my images in their print marketing campaigns.
I have also been busy with the design and build of my new website which will go live over the coming weeks. It is looking really good and I must also thank the lovely illustrator Sarah Dyer, who designed my logo that you can see below. She has been a long time favourite author/illustrator of my children and I fell in love with her writing from their books. So I was very pleased when she agreed to help me with this.
The autumn /winter is my busiest time of year for engagement shoots. The backdrops are always beautiful this time of year, with the autumnal colours and sometimes snow!
I also gained a new muse this winter in the form of my youngest boy, baby Ben, who arrived at the end of November. He is now 5 months old and I have had lots of fun documenting his growth so far. He is always smiling these days which makes my job very easy!
Having 3 young children definitely keeps my photography skills in good practise!

Leo and Victoria's Kentish Wedding
The wedding was in their local family church, followed by a shabby chic reception in The Great Barn Tenterden.
The Bride and Groom requested I capture the ambiance in a natural way, capturing the moment rather than having everyone looking into the camera, so we went with a reportage style.
I also made the most of the October sun to get sun flair in the images and recreate the atmosphere of a long summers day which is exactly how the relaxed setting made the wedding feel, relaxing in the english countryside with drinks, while the children ran around and played in the barn, the guests making the most of the last of the summer days!
The couple had stylishly decorated the tables in the shabby chic style which you can see above.
A beautiful day and lovely last wedding of the season! I look forward to next years wedding season and the many engagement shoots that I have lined up to see me through until then!

Carrie & Scott's wedding at St Pierre Hotel and Country Club in Chepstow, Wales
An October wedding in Wales has the potential to be dreary to say the least, but even early in the morning the weather was beautiful making the perfect backdrop for the country club setting.
Carrie got ready with at her Mum's house near by before making the short trip to the Church in a beautiful classic blue car, which stylishly matched the blue thistle flowers in the brides bouquet to represent Scott's Scottish heritage.
While the guests arrived at the church and waited for the Bride's arrival the Scottish theme was continued as they were greeted by traditional bagpipes!
The church was steeped in tradition and made the perfect intimate setting for these images of the groom waiting for his bride and then her father walking her down the aisle to him...
The service was followed by celebratory drinks outside the church and gave us the opportunity to get a great group shot of all the attendees.
After speeches we headed out to make the most of the autumn sunshine and rolling countryside to get some images of the couple alone...
